Farm Brew Live Expansion
Manassas, Virginia
Farm Brew Live Campus Expansion introduces a new dining and distilling destination that strengthens the campus identity while establishing a distinct sense of place. The project brings together a 25,000‑square‑foot restaurant, distillery, and catering kitchen, paired with a 5,000‑square‑foot rickhouse that helps define a shared courtyard. Site planning reinforces the campus edge along Prince William Parkway, creates clear pedestrian connections to existing facilities, and draws visitors from the adjacent hotel into a welcoming sequence of outdoor and indoor spaces.
Architecturally, the distillery and rickhouse adopt complementary forms that express the relationship between production and aging, with the distillery rising as the campus’s most prominent structure after the hotel. Simple massing, expressive gable profiles, and a restrained material palette highlight the craft of distilling and the sensory experience of tasting. The use of Corten steel PBR panels, warm Machiche wood accents, aluminum cladding, and expansive glazing creates a modern yet grounded aesthetic that harmonizes with existing campus buildings without overshadowing them.
A pre‑engineered metal building system enabled rapid construction and focused investment on key architectural moments, while the design‑build process supported efficient coordination throughout development. The expansion elevates the campus by introducing new flavors, visual experiences, and functional support for existing venues such as Brentsville Hall. Through intentional sightlines, cohesive materiality, and a clear programmatic relationship between production, dining, and event support, the project transforms this area of the campus into a dynamic, interconnected destination.
