The client’s decision to relocate their corporate office was not only a means to renew and refresh their workspace, but to create a design solution that could speak to their organization’s vision for healthy work environments, to improve productivity and quality of life. Commitment to standardized workspaces and the importance of natural daylighting as a shared commodity were the catalysts for creating open and transparent workspaces.  The generous use of glass walls breaks down hierarchal and visual barriers throughout this 6,241 sf space.

Large acoustical panels suspend from the open ceiling over the open office space to create a centered workspace with acoustical alleviation.

The conference room is inviting from the reception area and pantry lounge but also provides acoustical privacy for meetings. Keeping the modern industrial vibes with a painted open ceiling while mitigating sound transfer throughout the office and harmonizing the office workspace with the conferencing, lounge, and pantry areas.

Visual and acoustic screening is achieved using open struts to delineate reception from the amenity space while permitting ambient light transmission and views through to the exterior. These faux wood struts are comprised of printed wood felt to provide acoustic mitigation. Wood-themed elements continue in the conference room and showcase an acoustic feature ceiling with integrated lighting. Reclaimed oak perimeter plank flooring anchors the glazing partitions and suggests an inlaid carpeted island.  

Eclectic lounge furniture in rich neutral tones and textures adds visual warmth to the polished concrete floor. The design offers a hospitality atmosphere where the coffee lounge and casual seating group take advantage of the unobstructed daylight.

Teardrop pendant lamps literally drip from the ceiling providing a textural contrast to the rustic wood-clad island. A stylized subway tile backsplash helps accentuate the rich wood finishes and flat panel millwork. Floating wooden shelves provide a home for decorative accents.

The poured concrete floor aesthetic is replicated on the custom reception desk and provides a textural contrast to the rustic wood elements. The neutral palette throughout is rich with walnut wood, and marbled quartz solid surfaces.

The distinctive design and stylish materials create a visually engaging atmosphere for this dynamic office space. Combined, these dramatic architectural details add elegance and grace to this impressive space.
