Trex Headquarters
Winchester, Virginia
In collaboration with the Trex team and Hitt Contracting, MGMA created this stunning new 62,000 square foot headquarters in Winchester, Virginia. Our primary focus during the design process was to ensure that the space accurately reflects Trex's dedication to sustainable and responsible manufacturing practices. The end result is a beautiful and functional workspace that truly embodies the company's values.
The design utilizes Trex products throughout and specifically the planks applied to the tilt up concrete panels, providing a rainscreen. Not only does the vertical installation give the façade a visual feature, it also creates an illusion of added height to this two-story building. The Trex planks and double height glazing frame the angular entrance, breaking the rhythm of the façade and creating an inviting entrance.

The lobby, which bisects the building, offers a double-height space created by the circular aperture in the floor. The monumental stair's dynamic curves, are showcased by the skylight above. Segmented baffles and curved light fixtures help to mitigate sound resulting in a stimulating yet peaceful environment.
