Shanele Lu
Project Designer
Shanele originally came to the United States from Taiwan to study Interior Design at the Art Institute of Seattle. She later earned a degree in Interior Architecture from the Maryland Institute College of Art. Passionate about design and the thoughtful selection of finishes and materials, Shanele particularly enjoys the construction administration phase of projects, where design concepts come to life.
She is dedicated to creating environments that support health, well-being, and a better quality of life. Shanele holds both the WELL Accredited Professional (WELL AP) and LEED Accredited Professional (LEED AP) credentials, as well as certification from the National Council for Interior Design Qualification (NCIDQ).
Interesting Fact
Outside of her professional work, Shanele grows heirloom chrysanthemums each year for chrysanthemum shows. Some of the blooms can grow as large as a soccer ball.
She also shares her home with a unique group of pets: three snakes, a cat who is the same breed as the famous Garfield, a bird, and two-eyed tree frogs. Remarkably, they all live together peacefully, most of the time, under one roof.
