MGMA proudly introduces the newly transformed 1100 Vermont Avenue.
Working with Nattak Investment LLC, MGMA has recently completely renovated this 1961, 12-story office building at Vermont Avenue and L Streets NW. The building was stripped down to the concrete frame and rebuilt with a new state of the art chilled beam mechanical system designed by META Engineers. The new facade design took a dull facade with minimal window line to a sleek tower with full glass line that wraps L and Vermont Streets. This new facade required an intricate redesign of the existing structure by Granzow Structural Engineers.
The design also included the creation of a new two story lobby which takes maximum advantage of the volume and provides a subtle transition from the angled Vermont Avenue to the orthogonal grid of the city which defines the majority of the buildings plan. All of this was done while keeping the first floor retail proprietors open for business. MGMA is excited to add 1100 Vermont to our growing list of major renovations and building repositioning throughout the Washington DC region.
